Slack Integration

Get Tracktron notifications directly in Slack.

Setup

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack
  2. Click "Add to Slack"
  3. Select the workspace to install to
  4. Choose a default channel for notifications
  5. Click "Allow"

Notification Types

Renewal Alerts

Get notified before subscriptions renew:
  • 30, 14, 7, 1 day warnings
  • Includes cost and renewal action link

Spending Alerts

Notifications when spending changes:
  • New subscriptions added
  • Subscriptions canceled
  • Cost changes detected

Weekly Summary

Scheduled digest including:
  • Total monthly spend
  • Recent changes
  • Upcoming renewals

Budget Alerts

Warnings when approaching limits:
  • Category budget thresholds
  • Total spend limits

Channel Configuration

Route different notifications to different channels:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack
  2. Under "Notification Routing":
- Renewal alerts → #finance-alerts - Weekly summary → #finance-team - Budget alerts → #leadership

Slash Commands

If enabled, use Slack commands:

  • /tracktron status - Current spend summary
  • /tracktron renewals - Upcoming renewals
  • /tracktron search [query] - Find subscriptions

Troubleshooting

Not receiving notifications?

  • Check the channel permissions
  • Verify the Tracktron bot is in the channel
  • Review notification settings in Tracktron

Bot can't post to channel?

  • Invite @Tracktron to the channel
  • Check channel posting permissions
