Bulk Import Subscriptions

Have a lot of subscriptions to add? Use our bulk import feature.

Prepare Your CSV

Create a CSV file with the following columns:

name,cost,billing_cycle,category,start_date,renewal_date,owner_email
Slack,12.50,monthly,Communication,2024-01-15,2025-01-15,john@company.com
Notion,96.00,annually,Productivity,2024-03-01,2025-03-01,jane@company.com
Salesforce,1800.00,annually,Sales,2024-06-01,2025-06-01,sales@company.com

Required Columns

  • name: Subscription name
  • cost: Numeric cost (no currency symbols)
  • billing_cycle: monthly, quarterly, or annually

Optional Columns

  • category: Must match existing categories
  • start_date: YYYY-MM-DD format
  • renewal_date: YYYY-MM-DD format
  • owner_email: Must be a team member's email
  • notes: Any additional information
  • tags: Comma-separated list

Import Process

  1. Go to Subscriptions > Import
  2. Download the template CSV if needed
  3. Upload your prepared CSV
  4. Review the preview—fix any errors
  5. Click "Import" to add all subscriptions

Common Issues

"Invalid billing cycle"

Use lowercase: monthly, quarterly, or annually

"Owner not found"

The email must belong to a current team member

"Invalid date format"

Use YYYY-MM-DD format (e.g., 2024-01-15)

After Import

  • Review imported subscriptions for accuracy
  • Add any missing information (contracts, contacts)
  • Set up renewal alerts for important subscriptions
