Renewal Alerts

Never be surprised by auto-renewals again. Tracktron's renewal alerts give you time to review, negotiate, or cancel.

How Renewal Alerts Work

When a subscription's renewal date approaches, Tracktron sends notifications:

  • 30 days before: Early heads-up for large contracts
  • 14 days before: Time to make decisions
  • 7 days before: Final reminder
  • 1 day before: Last chance

Setting Up Alerts

Per-Subscription Alerts

  1. Open any subscription
  2. Click "Edit"
  3. Scroll to "Renewal Alert"
  4. Toggle on and choose notification timing

Team-Wide Defaults

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Under "Renewal Alerts", configure:
- Default reminder timing - Email recipients (owner, admins, custom) - Slack/Teams notifications (if connected)

Alert Actions

When you receive a renewal alert, you can:

Review & Approve

Mark the renewal as reviewed. The subscription will renew as planned.

Request Cancellation

Flag for cancellation. Tracktron will remind you to complete the cancellation with the vendor.

Negotiate

Start a negotiation workflow. Track your discussions and any price changes.

Snooze

Delay the reminder if you need more time to decide.

Best Practices

  • Review large renewals 60+ days out: Gives time to negotiate
  • Assign owners: They get notified first
  • Check usage before renewing: Are you using all your seats?
  • Document decisions: Add notes explaining why you renewed or canceled
